Red Ochre Orgánica Sculptural Vase 17"

This 17 inch sculptural vase was hand built using a redish brown earthy clay. Satin clear glaze is poured into the interior. The exterior is left raw and unglazed. 

The specific texture of the exterior was created by scraping the piece with a metal rib. This scraping technique was inspired by a group of talented potters in Oaxaca, Mexico. The subtle imperfections give this piece a presence.
